Ok newbies, I guess Im turning into an old timer now. That kinda sucks, I still feel like a newbie sometimes, but if you turn into a fossil nut like me, you will spend literaly 1000's of dollars for prepping equipment! Im not kidding, the first things I used for fossil prepping was a steak knife and small low dollar chisles and dentist picks that I got free from my dentist! Then when I got more serious and over the years, I now have 3 Chicago's and 2 ARO's, a very big compressor, two air abrasive units, one Foredom rotory tool and lots and lots of tips and stuff for all my tools, and one 12 inch water saw to cut almost anything I want!! Now here's the thing, if you are not a cusser or swearer yet, you may be. All of us fossil hunters/collectors always want that perfect specimen. But once you start to prep that fossil and want sooooooo bad for it to be perfect,, it never is!!! I hope you all have more patience than I, because when I start prepping that crab or whatever in a concretion and all is going good, then all of a sudden, there is stuff missing!!! I get purty damed upset and start cussing up a storm!!! So upset sometimes that I have to put it aside for later and go cool down!!! But all in all, its got to be the best damed hobby of all time!! Lots of hobbies out there in the world, but what other hobbie can you find where you can go out in the world somewhere and find some super anctient animal that has been buried for millions of years, have tons of fun digging and finding this stuff and then go home and almost bring it back to life!!! Simply the best damed hobbie in the whole freakin world!!! And anyone can do it! Cuss words dont bother me one bit, but you may start using them if you take up this super great hobbie!!! I wish everyone super good luck! RB
